The Swarovski Foundation are excited to be launching our In Conversation series, an initiative that will address some significant economic, environmental and social challenges that we are facing today. Thanks to the contribution of notable guests from the world of education, philanthropy and nature conservation, our goal is to promote a debate around these key topics. We are coming together to discuss what future policies and partnerships are needed to address the potential threats that the global pandemic has posed.

Education is one of the most powerful and proven vehicles for sustainable development, but how can we make sure that Covid-19 has not threatened this fundamental human right? As part of our regular talk series, our first conversation will be on the topic of 'Education Beyond Covid' and will be hosted by Nadja Swarovski (Chairperson of the Swarovski Foundation and Member of the Swarovski Executive Board) joined by Wendy Kopp (CEO and Co-founder of Teach for All and Founder of Teach for America) and Teri Schwartz (Professor at the Faculty of Theater, Film and Television at UCLA and Swarovski Foundation Trustee) to discuss some of the challenges facing education in a post-Covid world.

  • Topic: Education Beyond Covid
  • Date: Wednesday 3rd February 2021
  • Time: 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm GMT
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Platform: ZOOM Webinar

Access to education has changed dramatically since the beginning of the global pandemic, and school closures have so far affected almost 1.2 billion students worldwide. How can we respond to this situation and imagine potential successful interventions for the future?
